The Chulux Coffee Maker is a single cup coffee maker that uses coffee pods to make the coffee. It comes with a variety of basic features, such as a simple on and off button, auto-turn off function, compact and lightweight design which makes it easy to travel with or keep in small spaces, and it is easy to clean. Overall, it is a single-serve coffee maker we recommend. It’s priced well and is comparable to the higher-end single-serve coffee makers.
The simple design of the Chulux Coffee Maker features only one button that turns the machine on and off. The machine will also auto-shutoff when it’s done brewing to prevent it from overheating. It’s made out of plastic and the water reservoir is stainless steel. The plastic may not last as long as a machine made with a different material, however, since it is made out of plastic it is very lightweight, 2.2 lbs, and it makes the cost for this machine more affordable. It can also hold up to 12 ounces and as a 3.5 Bar Pump.
This single-serve coffee maker is also quite lightweight and compact. It’s excellent for tiny spaces and you can even travel with it. Its dimensions are 4.3in W x 7.5in D x 9.8in H. Which means you can definitely fit it in a suitcase to bring with you when you travel, which is great if you are picky about your coffee and prefer to drink coffee pods!
Built-In Water Reservoir
The Chulux Coffee Maker also comes with a built-in water reservoir that is made out of stainless steel. Since it is built-in, moving the machine around or traveling with it will be much easier. It can hold up to 12 ounces and whatever amount of water you pour in the reservoir is the amount of coffee you will get out.
Easy To Clean
The Chulux is also quite easy to clean. The drip tray and filter basket are easy to remove and rinse directly. The rest of the machine can be cleaned by descaling it with water and vinegar where the machine does the work for you, you just have to press the button.
Pros & Cons
What We Like
For a single-serve coffee machine that uses coffee pods/K-cups, we think this machine is an affordable price. If you are someone who doesn’t want to purchase a Keurig, this would be a more affordable and excellent alternative.
The Chulux is also very compact and is easy to put in small spaces as well as bring with you. We really like that this machine is so small and that it is perfect even for somewhere with limited space like a dorm, RV, office, or small counter. It’s also easy to travel with if you are someone who wants to be able to drink K-cup coffee pods even when on vacation or traveling for work.
We also love that the Chulux is a single-serve machine. It is an excellent option for anyone who doesn’t want to have more than a cup or two of coffee at a time. You won’t have to worry about using a big coffee pot and keeping it hot. The Chulux brews your coffee in about 4 or 5 minutes and uses coffee pods so you can drink specialty coffee daily.
Easy To Clean
One of the best ways to keep your coffee maker in tip-top shape and working like new is to regularly clean it. However, it can fall to the end of your to-do list because cleaning coffee machines can be time-consuming. However, that is not the case with the Chulux!
Easy To Use
It is also pretty easy to make coffee with the Chulux. You just have to fill the water reservoir up with however much coffee you want, pop in a coffee pod, shut the lid, and press the start button. Then a few minutes later you have a hot cup of coffee. It’s quite easy and you should be able to get the hang of it pretty quickly, especially if this is not your first single-serve K-cup compatible coffee maker!
What Can Be Improved
The brew time on this machine could be faster. It takes roughly 4 to 5 minutes to brew a cup of coffee. We think that is definitely something Chulux could improve with the coffee maker and hope to see that improvement with their updated models!
There are some complaints online about the coffee machine leaking water. This doesn’t seem to happen with every machine but isn’t unheard of. It seems like their customer service is awesome however and often provide refunds and replacements for the broken machines.
Who Is The Chulux Best For?
The Chulux Coffee Maker is best for anyone who is looking for an affordable single-serve K-cup compatible coffee maker that is comparable to Keurig. Or for anyone who wants a small and compact single-serve coffee maker. This one is small in size, lightweight, and is an affordable option for a single-serve machine.
This is not the coffee maker for anyone who wants a high-end machine that they want to last a very long time. It is made out of plastic and will ultimately die probably under 10 years. However, with regularly cleaning the machine you should be able to prolong its life and keep it working like new.
It is also not a good machine for those who want to make more than one cup of coffee in a single brew cycle. This coffee machine is for single-serve use only.
The Chulux Coffee Maker is about mid-level in terms of pricing for single-serve coffee makers. It is not the cheapest one on the market and it is not the most expensive. It’s right in the middle, and we think the price is fair for the quality. It is a mid-level machine that is made out of mid-level materials for a mid-level price. It is definitely a cheaper alternative to it’s biggest competitor in the single-serve coffee maker market, which is Keurig.
Overall, we recommend the Chulux Coffee Maker. It is decent quality, a fair price, and overall has a simple design that will ultimately make a delicious cup of coffee. It’s a good bang for your buck and an excellent alternative and comparable to more expensive single-serve coffee makers, such as the Keurig.
